Our instructions for your baby's brake surgery to go smoothly
You have an upcoming appointment with your baby for a freinectomy (brake surgery). Dr. Agachi will give you his diagnosis and we can do the procedure in the same session if the clinical indications warrant it.
In the meantime, to ensure that the session goes as smoothly as possible and that the surgery is effective, please follow these instructions:
It is mandatory to consult an osteopath or chiropractor who specializes in infant brakes.
If you have not yet consulted such a specialist, we encourage you to do so before the procedure.
2.
Get advice from your lactation consultant
It is recommended that you see a lactation consultant for expert advice.
3.
Present yourself with the letter of recommendation
When you consult a specialized practitioner, don't forget to ask for a letter of recommendation with his or her diagnosis. We will need it when you visit!
4.
Learn the exercises to perform on your baby
In order for brake surgery to really improve your baby's life and to avoid reattachment, it is important that you do some exercises after the procedure:
Management of restrictive brakes
Elevation of the tongue
5.
Prepare Doliprane for your baby
You may administer a dose of Doliprane 30 minutes before the appointment if needed. (Weight dose in syrup or suppository.)
